Invoice Simple gives you the option of setting some default fields that will appear in all of your invoices. Altering these fields will affect how all of your invoices and estimates appear to your clients. These fields are all optional, but using them will help you get the most out of Invoice Simple.

Customizing your Invoices and Estimates in the Mobile App

To start, you will want to go to the Settings page. You can get to Settings by hitting the gear icon at the upper left.

You’ll find everything under the Invoice header. The first option you’ll want to take a look at is Customize.

You’ll have multiple options for customizing your invoice and estimates headers as well as the item quantity and rate.

Altering the first three fields will set a default title for your Invoices and Estimates and provide your clients with your contact number. Here are some examples of how the Invoice Title will look on your invoices:

Altering the Quantity Label and Unit Cost Label allows you to customize the item quantity and costs fields for all of your invoices and estimates. Toggling the Quantity and Unit Cost switch allows you to instantly apply or clear these changes. Here's an example of how these custom labels look on your invoices and estimates.

Hitting back will automatically save any fields you’ve filled out. Next, you’ll want to take a look at Default Notes.

You’ll have two options to fill out here; Invoices and Estimates.

Filling out these fields will add a note at the bottom of your invoices and estimates. You can use these fields to share any information or instructions you need to provide your clients. Here’s an example of what these fields look like on your Invoices and Estimates.

Hitting back will automatically save what you have filled out. Next, you’ll want to take a look at Invoice Number.

In this section, you can choose what you would like your beginning Invoice and Estimate numbers to be. Setting this number will assign the next number in sequence for each of your new invoices and estimates. For example, if you choose INV001 as your first invoice number, your second invoice will be INV002, your third INV003 and so on.

Hitting back will automatically save these fields. Lastly, you’ll want to take a look at Default Email Message.

You’ll only have one field in this section; Message to Customer.

When you email an invoice or estimate to a customer, this is what is displayed in the body of the message by default. Here is an example of how this message will look in a message to your clients.

Hitting back will automatically save the default message.
