Invoice Simple now gives you the ability to accept payment by scanning a check through the app. Stripe uses the check scan to pull funds from your client's account automatically.
What are the fees associated with check deposits?
Stripe charges a 1% processing fee for check scans. Please bear in mind that transactions must be 15$ and higher to be accepted.
Who is eligible for check deposits?
All Stripe enabled users located in the U.S.
How do I accept payment through check deposits?
On the invoice edit screen, scroll down and hit Mark Paid. You'll see a Deposit Check option.
Hit Deposit check and you'll be prompted to accept the terms of services. You'll only need to do this the first time you scan a check.
Upload images of both the front and back of the check from your device's gallery. You will receive a confirmation message once the images are uploaded.
Once the images are uploaded, you will see the check's status in the payment history of the invoice.
The check processing can take up to 5 days and it's a good idea to retain the check for at least 14 days after the transaction was uploaded in case there are issues with processing it.
